CANCERS COMMON IN JEWS
Certain cancers have a higher incidence of individuals of Jewish descent compared to the general population.
CANCERS WITH A HIGHER FREQUENCY IN JEWS
Scientific research has shown that consuming shellfish is associated with an increased rate of colon cancer. Kosher laws forbid eating shellfish. Although this would predict a low rate of colon cancer in Jews, genetic factors cause Jews to have a higher rate of colon cancer compared to the general population.
MALE BREAST CANCER
The rate of breast cancer in Jewish men is much higher than the rate in the general male population.
