Penis (Squamous Cell Carinoma): Rarely occurs in Jews. This is attributed to ritual circumcision. Published scientific research documents that cancer of the penis is rare in circumcised men.
CERVIX: Cancer of the cervix is less common in Jewish women compared to the general population. This is may be related to ritual circumcision of Jewish males. Published scientific research documents that cancer of the cervix is less common in the sexual partners of circumcised men.
Among non-Jews prostate cancer is uncommon among uncircumcised men. Despite almost universal circumcision among Jewish men, genetic factors result in a rate of prostate cancer that is higher among Jews than in the general population.
